This is an FYI for anyone looking at these knives.
I picked up this same set in the local car boot sale and must say that the knives actually feel really nice in the hand. Thats what sold them to me, all of the knives felt quite solid and controllable because of the weight behind them. The knives also fitted nicely in to my hand, and I have largish hands! Incidentally, also at the same car boot was a chap selling full sets of Global Knives, and although Ive wanted a set of these for years that all disappeared as soon as I picked up the first global knife! I had no weight what so ever behind it and just felt like the kind of thing you would pick up at a one pound shop!
Ok, these knives might have a question over their pedigree (in that they may come from China and not Germany) BUT for the price I paid, they were a good buy.
Id say give these knives a try if you can find them for cheap enough.
Ive given these a three star rating only because of the question around their pedigree. Otherwise I would go higher if these really are German made knives. Either way, they are nice knives and this is a nice set.
