Shades of Grey eclipsed by new novel [Bared to You] Evening Standard Several shades sexier and a hundred degrees hotter Woman

Product Description

Pride and Pleasure - the classic erotic romance - by Sylvia Day - author of the sensational international bestselling Bared to You, first book in the Crossfire series - is a tale of ambition, love and lust.

Pursued by fortune hunters, heiress Eliza Martin is the victim of diabolical scheming to get her to the altar. She won't be bullied, however, and she will get to the bottom of this plot. She needs a man to infiltrate her suitors and find the villain. Thief-taker Jasper Bond is entirely too devilish and too dangerous - who'd believe Eliza would be seduced by a man like him? But client satisfaction is a point of pride with Jasper and it's his pleasure to prove he's just the man - for all her needs.

Praise for Sylvia Day:

'Move over Danielle Steel and Jackie Collins, this is the dawn of a new Day' Amuse

'Several shades darker and a hundred degrees hotter than anything you've read before' Reveal

5.0 out of 5 stars I could not put it down until i'd read it all. 16 Feb 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I really enjoy reading historical romances and I couldnt wait to read this one. It did not disapoint.
An alpha male who doesnt think he is good enough for the heroine. A heroine who you are able to relate with and even want to be sometimes and a cast of characters who help the story along nicely.
Miss Martin is having a few problems, she fears her suiters are trying to force her into marriage by scaring her so she hires a thief taker. In comes Mr Bond who straight away puts Miss Martin on edge. She finds herself drawn to him like no other and there the story starts.A possessive, bossy and absolutely gorgeous man and an innocent lady who finds herself wanting to be possessed by the thief taker more than she will admit. He encourages her to be herself and by doing that , he captures her heart.
I really enjoyed this story and will look at others stories by the author. A highly recommended read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Repetitive
There is little new or innovative in this book, as it follows what, for Sylvia Day, is obviously a good formula

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great
I thought this book was not very historically correct which took some of the enjoyment of reading it away. The story was passible but lacked any real depth.
