Format:Audio CD
Many of the so-called editions of Highland Bagpipe or Pipes (Highland!) and Bands out there in the «Scottish Bagpiping world», specially in amazon.co.uk are really the-best-of editions that are not very coherent selections or cd's showing a sequence of medleys that do have the original and traditional numbers but these only last a minute or so, without repition or variations, followed by the next song, melody or dance; the end result is not satisfactory! In Pride of Scotland, each track is a complete number, the selection is very coherent showing plenty of variety but always with a very pleasant sound, neither from a boxy studio nor recorded in the moors with the wind blowing on the microphones. Let's hope for more records from this label!

This CD is great. There are 16 real Scottish tunes on here. I have always found it hard to find a good version of Scotland The Brave, well this one is the best I have heard in a long time. I would recommend this CD, totally.
