Through perseverance, sense of humour especially during the setbacks and characteristic raciness of style Harriet unfolds her experiences often funny and sometimes desperate..Harriet charts her life from her first shop in Brighton, making occasional forays into Paris with her car loaded to the gunnels under the eagle eye of Madame Petit, and maybe un peu exploited!
Harriet's passion for porcelain moves into scientific instruments of which she becomes expert writing books and lecturing.
