Having bought a Kindle Fire as a Christmas present for my wife, I wanted an ebook without the cost of a Kindle but which had tablet facilities as well.

One gripe that stands out in reviews for tablet associated products (other than the named brands (Ipad, Samsung etc) is the incomprehensible instructions that come with them, I had bought a cheap Chinese tablet on ebay and I was never sure if I was going to get noodles or prawn balls as an end product, so flimsy was the paper they were written on and as regards the language, that was a waste of time. The Prestigio however does not fall totally into this category, a well printed book with the first 4 pages in understandable English and the rest of the instructions in languages that covered the Western Hemisphere. What it did lack however was clear downloading advise but using Calibre (free download) that those issues were resolved. So in keeping with the high quality of previous reviews, here are the pros and cons.

A sturdy well designed tablet/ereader
Clear handbook
Easy connection to the Web
Excellent speaker (I assume there is only 1)

The Prestigio website that you need to register with (something I hate doing) to download books is reasonably comprehensive in categories but the Free books date from the 1930s to the late 1970s. Paid for books are in my opinion, vastly overpriced and lacking in todays popular authors (ok my popular authors)

Bought this for our son's xmas present and it froze while trying to set it up. This tablet stayed frozen and we had to return. Amazon customer service was very helpful in resolving this and we ended up buying another tablet. Very disappointing!
