I came across this kettle in a self-catering cottage and liked its lines and its performance. The water level is clear and the noise is much less than my previous kettle (Kenwood)which shut down all conversation! Filling is easy too.

The Prestige Symmetry jug kettle is nice looking and easy to use. But I have had two of them from different retailers over several years and both of them have leaked from the right hand side water gauge after about 12 months of use.

I borght one of these in 2005, very quick to boil, lovely to fill one handed, with a pop up lid. After 3 years it started to leak. I put up with the leaking for 12 months. I don't know why but, I replaced it with the same model in white. To my delight it's been totaly re-engineered. So I'm well chuffed. The gauge, where it leaked with the old one, is totally different. Now much easier to read, gives an accurate reading and hopfully won't leak!

Avoid
Ok bought mine about a year ago and I just finnished replacing my consumer units 30 amp fuse and throwing it into my bin (dont worry no cats were harmed in the process). Read more
