You would think that 'a kettle is a kettle', but after reading reviews about other makes and models, I could not believe that one could encounter so many problems with and every day electrical item. Therefore, having taken nearly 1 month researching kettles prior to purchse, looking at all aspects in relation to boiling time, noise, capacity, value for money and quality; I feel that my time was not wasted as this kettle is excellent and was obviously the best choice. I would definately recommend the purchase of this product.

Prestige Dakota Cordless Jug Kettle, Cream, 1.7 Litre
Brilliant kettle for the price. I've tried the cheapie supermarket ranges and wasted my money! So I thought I'd go for a mid range one and boy I was'nt disappointed. It felt like a more expensive kettle as soon as I got it out of the box. It boils quickly and is a joy to pour. It looks good and the blue light when switched on is a quirkey feature. All in all I'm thrilled with My Dakota and have no reservations in recommending it.

This kettle was recently purchased to replace a chromed metal jug kettle that had broken. By comparison this new purchase is not only much lighter in weight but also feels better when lifted. Other features I particularly like are its touch of a button 'pop up' lid. This not only allows ease of filling but by not having to actually remove the lid, as is the case with many other kettles, it makes for a perfectly safe refill even after just boiling. I also like the well calibrated water level indicator which illuminates with a soft blue glow whilst the kettle boils.

super kettle
this kettle does exactly as it says its quick to boil and looks great in my kitchen, it has a nice soft grip on handle, arrived in a few days , excellent product.

Prestige kettle.
Works as it should. However, the spout is a poor pourer,and is potentially dangerous. The boiling water is liable to pour through the sides of the lid, and over the pourer's hand.
