    Very unimpressed! 30 Sep 2003
    By A Customer
This was the 3rd glass kettle I'd had (the first 2 were a different brand and the handles got so hot they burnt when pouring).
Unfortunately, although this one doesn't burn when pouring, it is very difficult to fill, it dribbles, it rocks on it's base when boiling. It is very noisy and slow to boil.
I live in a soft water area, but it still silts up in a couple of weeks. The paint on the lid bubbled up and began to peel in the first few weeks, and now looks dreadful, and to top all that, it gave up the ghost yesterday and blew the main trip in the house - so after less than 6 months it is now totally dead, and I am kettle shopping for the 3rd time in less than 1 year.
    Don't buy it!

This kettle looks good when you first get it.Just dont use it and it may be ok, i had mine a week when all the paint on the base started to peel, it shakes like hell on the base and it gets a bit hot on your hands when pouring. All in all not good.

Well it boils water! 27 Aug 2003
Nice looking kettle, but it took about a week of use (in London hard water) to get enough limescale to look like an uncleaned fishtank. The catch to release the lid still needs both hands (including the one scalded pouring), the filter on the spout constantly gets in the way of closing the lid and it dribbles all over the kitchen.

I've never heard such a loud kettle in my life and I'm not allowed to mention the cost!

Other than that it's a fine product.
