Even if you already own the original single disc release of 'Pressure Points' this expanded edition is a must for all Camel fans and a perfect introduction to those who are unfamiliar with Camel and their brilliant guitarist Andy Latimer. This album features some of Camels' best work including for the first time the live version of Stationary Traveller from the concert and also Camel favourites 'Lady Fantasy' with guest appearance of original keyboard player Pete Bardens, and excerpts from 'The Snow Goose'. The latter features Mel Collins on saxophone which adds considerably to the enjoyment of Camel's finest and best known work. The booklet insert tells the history of Camel from the early '70's to the present date and is indeed an added bonus

This is a fantastic expanded double cd from the most underrated prog rock group of the seventies.
The musicianship is exemplary throughout and in my humble opinion,Andrew Latimer is one of the finest guitarists on the planet, with a tone to die for(check out the solo on Stationary Traveller for starters).
Would also like to recommend the extended dvd of this concert and challenge anyone not to be moved by the sheer emotion displayed by Andrew Latimer, especially during Lady Fantasy, which features their original keyboard player Peter Bardens.
Please buy this. You will not be disappointed.

Pressure points. 25 Feb 2011
By Jade D
Format:Audio CD
One for the collector. This live album by Camel who, for those who don't know, were a progressive, gentle rock band through the '70's and onwards fronted by Andrew Latimer(under rated to say the least.)Camel was noted for unusual key signatures and longer melodic pieces and for having so many line up changes it was often hard to keep pace. Read about them online! This CD is a well played look at a particular album, Stationary Traveller, with a hark back to some of their earlier work. I have followed Camel from the outset and have seen them perform many times. This album reflects admirably what they were like onstage. Really worth a listen if you like the genre! Even better, this CD is also available as a DVD,and, although the visual quality isn't fantastic, the sound track is spot on.Well worth a look.
