5.0 out of 5 stars A Present for Father Christmas 17 Sep 2010
By S Riaz HALL OF FAME TOP 10 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a nice pop up book. Sam loves the present Father Christmas gave him, but he feels sorry that nobody ever buys Santa anything. So, Sam saves up all year and writes to tell him he will leave him a present next Christmas. Santa is pleased, but Sam can't decide what to buy and has nothing when he appears. Fathe Christmas says the thought was enough and takes Sam on a magical ride on his sleigh. The pop ups are good and, at the last page, there is a chance to peek through tiny windows into Santa's house. Also, the story teaches children about giving, rather than receiving, being rewarding in its own right. A lovely book, but probably for 3 and up, as the pop ups could be easily torn or bent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two children love this book 30 Oct 2012
Format:Hardcover
My two children age 2 and age 4 simply adore this book. They've been requesting I read it at every opportunity. They love looking at the pop ups, especially the last page where Santa's Grotto pops up and you can look in the window. I'd seriously recommend this book to anyone with children between the age 3-5. I'm not sure what they are into older than that so couldn't say. My little girl who is 2.5 is careful with the pop ups in this book but she's only starting to respect books now instead of pulling and tearing them the odd time. I'd still recommend it for this age group (2.5).
