I didn't expect this little thing to be so good for this price!
I've never really liked carrying my purse around everywhere. Since I got this, I always keep my phone in it and ditch the purse often, ie: when going to lunch, going out for the night, walking to the store etc. I've gotten many compliments (cute, I like that, so cool). I've even heard people whisper to each other (did you see that, I need to get me one of those...)
It's some kind of vinyl or something (not leather), but it still feels pleasant enough to the touch, smooth and 'dryish', not 'pla-sticky'. It's been several months of constant use and it's showing no signs of cracking or wear at all, not even along the "spine", where I often fold it. Stitching is strong and evenly spaced, no threads dangling. I was worried about the clasp/hook that holds the strap on when I first got it. It's that "fake" metal stuff, some kind of semi-metallic coating thingie, but it's sturdy enough for me to feel confident holding it from the strap to take pics out the car window.
I was also concerned about the non-snap closure, which I was pretty sure would either be loose, or get stretched out, but it's been good. It fits nicely, it's snug and it stays closed. Also since the Nokia Lumia manual says keep away from magnets, I feel better about it.
I fit four cards in mine (it has three slots), two in the middle slot. They fit in snugly and show no signs of falling out. However, the slot I put two cards in is a bit stretched now, so I have to always have two cards in it. The cash pocket is handy. You can sneak an extra card in there, and quite a few bills, though the phone gets fat, but it's okay for a night.
No scratches on my screen. Sometimes if my screen gets dirty, there will be a line from the edge of the card, but I can polish it off with my shirttail.
Talking on the phone:
To talk on phone, fold cover flap backwards. It doesn't cause wear. It's a little thick, but I can still hold the whole thing in one hand.
Phone holder plastic:
Tight fit, perfect fit, but not invincible. My phone fell out when I dropped it from waist high. I was standing on a horrible chunky cement driveway. As I watched the case and phone fall, everything turned to slow motion. As it hit the ground, the impact was softened by the case and the phone popped out and slid several feet. My phone survived with teensy scratch on the corner.
And that's all I have to say about that.
