This is brilliant software. I have to keep checking it's working as it's pretty much invisible! There's no noticeable slowdown of anything; the regular scans are efficient and barely affect the speed of other running programs and installing updates is easy!
There are a number of different security settings that you can customise, from stringent advert control (the web looked so blank) to basic firewall and anti-virus checks.
I've had no problems with running software from Apple, Adobe and Microsoft with Vipre and there have been no issues when loading up updates of other software.
Basically, this is, in my opinion, the perfect internet security package. It keeps you safe without compromising your system and you are barely aware it's operating. Top stuff.

This appears to be one of the better antivirus. It uses few system resources and is fast and light. In other words, it's unobtrusive.
This special license means that I can install it on all five of the PCs in my house. I share with 4 friends and we have five PCs in the house. I am getting an other laptop later this month so I can protect So in this regard, none of the major vendors like McAfee and Norton come close.
It is running well on my Windows 7 laptop and also on the older Windows XP machines, one of which ONLY HAS has 512MB of RAM (I have not personally used it with Windows 2000 or Windows Vista
Unlimited home site licenses, at reasonable prices, are the way forward.

Now I am a techno and cyber-phobe; where possible I try and avoid making any adjustments to my creaking and much abused computer, because I don't know what I am doing. However I felt my previous AV/Firewall combination was getting both a bit too free and easy with its searches while being fussy when I tried to download anything at all, and Vipre seemed to have a good reputation.
Even so when the box arrived the first thought was `what were you thinking of with all the Uninstall/Install business, then the other technical stuff? Is not Life complicated enough anyhow?'
Well the Install went very smoothly and the wizard was very gentle with me and Vipre made itself very much at home, informing me of what it was doing and why.
The Deep Scan which is recommended first time out was indeed thorough over 3hrs 30mins but it did pick up a couple of Trojans which I suspect may have been lurking there undetected and sorted out a number of cookies.
Its display is very easy to follow and the Worldwide Threat Level indicator may be scoffed at by those who know very much more, but for simple folk such as myself I find it interesting and informative.
On the whole this is a very encouraging start, and on this basis to be recommended to at least those of us are very much at sea with all the technical side, but know enough to require dependable protection.
As one wiser review has indicated and I concur if I find any problems I'll let you know!
