Product Description

Product Description

An early, reliable and popular variety producing low, compact plants (12-15" tall, 20-35"spread) with finely curled, bluish-green leaves which can be harvested in all seasons. This variety withstands colder weather and a light frost especially improves flavour and sweetness. Can be grown as a spring or autumn crop. Ready for use 55 days from sowing. Choose an area with full sun and a soil pH of 6.0-7.0. Enrich the soil with compost or well-rotted manure. Harvest by clipping individual leaves. Kale is very hardy and quality actually improves after a frost. Professional DEFRA licenced (07274) Quality Seed Supply only - Minimal packaging - Ziplock labelled bags - Instructions not attached - See details provided above for cultivation advice.

The biggest problem with these seeds is that they do not germinate. I am not sure if they even are really seeds. The second problem is that these ship from China and take approximately 6 weeks to arrive.
Awful.

The package I received is marked decorative kale instead of collard greens. Not exactly the same thing and may not even be edible. But I'll try it at least once.
