Brought this item as a xmas present and just took out of the wrapping to gift wrap it and the item is damaged. Will now have to send it back. Delivery was also slow. Looking at other reviews the damage does not seem unusual.

The cookery book arrived broken and there were small chips in the paintwork. very disappointed with the condition and quality of this item. Returned the following day (25th Nov)and still awaiting refund to date (20th Dec)

Ordered the cookbook twice and on both occasions they have been received broken.
Is knowbody at this company wondering why they are getting so many returned due to breakage.
For heavens sake use some decent packaging mateial instead of just brown rolled up paper. It DOESNT work.
The product itself is very nice and I really do want want one, but I have had to now source another supplier who can guarantee decent packaging.

Especially good for heavy books
I bought this item in order to hold my heavy textbooks. The item is heavy since it is made of iron, but this makes it especially good for holding heavy books.
