I took a great deal of time looking across all the various fans on the market...sad I know, but theres so many, offering similar functions that you really need to research it a bit.

First off - Its design

This fan looks amazing. Its light, sleek and the lighting displays give it a very trendy/modern look. Anyone interested in the aesthetics should be very interested in the product.

The display

Brightly lit, very clear to understand - only criticism is the light not going off unless the entire item is turned off. May cause some people frustration if left on over night.

Reliability

Once put together (attach the stand at the bottom - you dont need to be good at building things, neither do you require any tools, just your hands) its a very well built item. Robust, yet light and easily moved from place to place with a handy carrying slot built in.

The control

The fan has a remote control. Its very functional, it will control all the options that are available on the fan itself. My only concern is that the battery flap seems quite fragile! for me this is a very minor thing, but if your rough with things it might not last long before you need to strap it on with elastics bands!

Options

The functions available are fantastic. You have 8 speed settings, timer modes, a wind like option - which alters the speed up and down for you and of course the Ioniser. Most impressive on this item is the oscilitating function, which rotates the fan on the base....I cant stress enough how well this works.

Overall

I looked at all kinds of different items and decided on this. I am highly satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anybody seeking a trendy fan, which can be used for cooling your room as you sleep or as a more powerful fan for use in a gym etc

A couple of years ago over the space of a few hot months I purchased 4 different tower fans for various rooms of the house. The Premiair PTR06RI was purchased for the lounge. It is absolutely brilliant. So brilliant infact that I am about to purchase 3 more to replace the other fans round the house. The reasons this fan beats the others hands down are as follows in order of importance:
1. It is lovely and cold. The other fans top settings (all 3 speed, NOT 8 speed like this one) are nowhere near as cold as this one. On average the top setting of the other fans equals setting 2 of 8 on this one. In addition the air vents can be tipped up or down like in a car making the air flow much more accurate (ie can be adjusted to low for lying down, mid for sitting, high for standing).
2. It is really quiet. Even on the top setting the noise is minimal, and the noise there is, is constant so does not interupt sleep if placed in the bedroom.
3. Even though the stickers have rubbed off our remote (from years of daily use) the remote is so simple that we don't even have to look at it to operate the fan.
4. It has an ioniser (nice touch)
5. It looks great. It has a really nice round digital display at the top and the buttons are up above the fan for easy use when stood above it (when not using the remote).

Just to clarify how much I love this fan, I am an avid reader and have read some books to make me laugh and cry, I love music and have listened to CD's that have given me goosebumps, yet I have never felt the need to write a review. I just hope this will help someone who can't decide between different makes and models of fans, I am the number one fan of this fan (sorry!).

Just got this fan and very impressed. Bought it to use in the bedroom in the hot weather and its doing a great job. Very quiet, plenty of speed settings and looks very good.
The only slight negatives are that every time you press a button or use the remote control the fan beeps quite loudly and in the middle of the night when you want to turn it up or down discreetly it could easily disturb anyone else in the room. Also wish the panel light dimmed after a while as its quite bright in the night so a post-it sticker comes in handy to block out the light.

Apart from those minor niggles I would recommend this fan.

THIS FAN DOES THE TRICK BUT IS BIG SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE LOTS OF SPACE. IT HAS A REMOTE CONTROL THAT IS USEFUL BUT NEEDS TO BE TURNED RIGHT DOWN FOR A QUIET NIGHT'S SLEEP. Read more
