I just have to say, I am soooo happy with my dehumidifier. I can be quite a critical and particular shopper and was nervous that after paying what I did for it, that it wouldn't actually work very well. To be honest, I have also resented paying over 100 GBP for a product that I don't particularly want but actually need and would have much preferred to spend that money on new clothes. I had also read on another person's review that sometimes, it left some puddles.
This dehumidifier is sucking the moisture out of my flat so much that I no longer have a musty smell in my bedroom or flat and am no longer in fear of my brand new wooden bedroom furniture warping and swelling. The settings do what they're supposed to and it's not very noisy, at all. The timer works well, too, and it means that I can leave it on when I leave for work. I experienced some puddles the first time I used it, but that's because I tried to remove the water container shortly after I stopped the machine. I think the trick is to wait a while after turning the machine off to remove the container - that way, all the water that's been collected has time to drain into it. I haven't had that problem since.
I feel like a real geek, being so happy with my dehumidifier purchase, but am so pleased it works well. And, I bought it because of the great reviews I saw on here, so I thought I'd do my part and add another good one for the record.
