Disc 1:- During my own pregnancies, I used a video by Racquel Welsh - Hatha Yoga, and it really helped me through all stages from pregnancy to post birth, to keep my body fit. I was intrigued to see what progress had been made in DVD videos since that time (over two decades ago). I am amazed, and only wish this DVD had been released all that time ago. Tara includes the mention of the baby, which was something missing from the Video and records I practiced all that time ago...it feels more appropriate to view your body with reminder to the baby, rather than just a different shape body that happens to have a bump shape, and that you must strive to keep fit at all costs, whereas the DVD with Tara is much more holistic, embracing all aspects of the changing body during pregnancy. The backing music is delightful and I prefer it so much to what I previously experienced, mesmerizingly beautiful, soothing and magical sounds that have a rhythmic effect, hence keeping you both alert, aware and relaxed. The narration includes awareness of the baby in your womb and that your baby is aware of sounds from 20 weeks!

I'm totally enchanted by the beauty of the movements that Tara shares through "Pregnancy Health Yoga" DVD. Positions that are optimal for labour are discussed, which is a great idea to include such with an exercise yoga DVD. The exercises are thorough, but not likely to over exert you. Alternative positions are often suggested, depending upon bodily health and the size of your baby bump. Postures are shown from the front and the side, which really helps to ensure that you have correctly positioned yourself into the yoga posture. You are instructed upon which postures are fine for certain stages of pregnancy, and which are not.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great investment for your body and baby! 12 Feb 2014

I was a bit apprehensive about spending out on this 3 DVD set, I thought it was a bit pricey, but its so worth it.
I am in my second trimester with my 3rd child, and work in an office all day, I was worried about my fitness levels and posture. I tried to find a local Pre-Natal yoga class, and couldn't find one near me, or at the right time. As any mum of multiple children, with a job and a house to look after knows, its not easy finding the time let alone the energy to go to a class of an evening.

I have been doing the first DVD and have done the full practice a few times. Its' not the easiest, it will make you work but you know its having an effect and helping you to strengthen your body and calm your mind. The music is lovely, not cheesy or bad quality, its really nice. I have slept brilliantly after completing the practice too. There are options to just do sections of the practice, good for a morning session or if you don't have much time.

I would highly recommend this DVD... I wish I'd started it sooner!
Looking forward to the post natal workouts too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! 5 July 2013

I did antinatal yoga throughout pregnancy and bought this as it was recommended by my yoga instructor. It is probably aimed more at people with a basic knowledge of yoga rather than a complete beginner. I found the pregnancy DVD really good, especially the relaxation, visualisation and labour preparation. The relaxation was great towards the end when I struggled to sleep.

Just waiting until baby and I are 6 weeks post delivery then we will be starting the other 2 DVDs. I have watched them and they seem great.

5.0 out of 5 stars A gift for mum and baby! 10 Oct 2011
I have written this review elsewhere, but as it deals with DVDs in this collection, I thought it best to post again. I did the Pregnancy Health Yoga DVD program faithfully (almost every day) from the start of my second trimester through to a couple of days past my due date. Although I ended up having some medical complications during labour and delivery, my baby was (and is) in perfect health; calm, incredibly happy and secure. My midwife and various other medical professionals have told me not to downplay the impact the "work" I did (this yoga DVD, daily affirmations, meditation, eating a healthy diet, etc) during my pregnancy had on my baby's health and wellbeing... and on my own incredibly fast recovery from a traumatic birth complication (I lost 3.2 liters of blood, among other things). When I so much as hear the music from the soundtrack to this DVD, I honestly become teary-eyed as I remember with immense affection my pregnancy experience which, despite the usual uncomfortable symptoms and some more serious medical issues towards the end, was a truly magical time. I firmly believe that bonding with my baby started whilst I was carrying him and that doing a relaxation/yoga/meditation/affirmation practice on a regular basis aided that natural process. My husband also helped me do the partner work section of the DVD. My baby and I now do Tara Lee's Yoga for You and Your Baby DVD together and it feels wonderful to continue this bonding practice that began all those months ago. There is a gentle sincerity in Tara's manner and approach which I find very appealing and I do not believe that any of the exercises or concepts are beyond the grasp of the yoga beginner (especially as modifications are suggested to make certain moves easier). I hope future purchasers of these DVDs find them as beneficial as I did and that they have happy, healthy pregnancies.
