I have written this review elsewhere, but as it deals with DVDs in this collection, I thought it best to post again. I did the Pregnancy Health Yoga DVD program faithfully (almost every day) from the start of my second trimester through to a couple of days past my due date. Although I ended up having some medical complications during labour and delivery, my baby was (and is) in perfect health; calm, incredibly happy and secure. My midwife and various other medical professionals have told me not to downplay the impact the "work" I did (this yoga DVD, daily affirmations, meditation, eating a healthy diet, etc) during my pregnancy had on my baby's health and wellbeing... and on my own incredibly fast recovery from a traumatic birth complication (I lost 3.2 liters of blood, among other things). When I so much as hear the music from the soundtrack to this DVD, I honestly become teary-eyed as I remember with immense affection my pregnancy experience which, despite the usual uncomfortable symptoms and some more serious medical issues towards the end, was a truly magical time. I firmly believe that bonding with my baby started whilst I was carrying him and that doing a relaxation/yoga/meditation/affirmation practice on a regular basis aided that natural process. My husband also helped me do the partner work section of the DVD. My baby and I now do Tara Lee's Yoga for You and Your Baby DVD together and it feels wonderful to continue this bonding practice that began all those months ago. There is a gentle sincerity in Tara's manner and approach which I find very appealing and I do not believe that any of the exercises or concepts are beyond the grasp of the yoga beginner (especially as modifications are suggested to make certain moves easier). I hope future purchasers of these DVDs find them as beneficial as I did and that they have happy, healthy pregnancies.
