The Spear & Jackson Predator X Wood Saw is a powerful, fast cutting saw, ideal for use across the grain. It features fleam teeth for the fastest cut across the grain, on both the forward and reverse stroke. With this impressive tool you will benefit from a clean and rapid cutting action each and every time. It even comes with a handy 45 degree and 90 degree angle guide, for a precision cut. The Predator is specially designed to feature a rigid blade. This means that the vibration and whip caused by sawing is significantly minimised. This saw is perfect for use on a variety of materials, such as timber, hardwood, chipboard and MDF.
Sawing can be comfortable, due to the ergonomically designed form of the product. It features Suregrip, a soft-feel grip, as well as a finger guide to improve accuracy.

Bought to deal with some storm-damaged tress in the garden last winter. An awesome saw - doesn't flex too much, very easy to use, cuts going and coming back which saves time and effort. Very, very sharp (watch your fingers and hands) and seems to stay sharp despite hard use too. It dealt with tree trunks up to 10" across with ease. Smaller timber it just rips through. A very impressive product - and it's from a British company too, which is nice. Would serve as an all-purpose saw very well in my opinion.

Very fast delivery service. Saw replaced a very old one of similar size and purpose, which at 40 years old had really come to the end of its life.
This new saw is a very marked improvement, both in sharpness, firmness of blade, and ease of use. Beware- blade is very sharp if accidently touched.
