I know it is a children's book but as it was on promo I thought I would download this. I must admit that I had already downloaded this in the past from another site and as some children had been enjoying it I was now able to read it for myself.
As an adult this isn't exactly a hard mystery to solve, and probably not for most children, after all the title is a big help. Although not a great mystery as such this is ideal for children, it has lots of illustrations throughout, the story is fun to read, even I enjoyed it, and it also gives the names of the characters phonetically, which means that your child will not have to keep calling you for assistance when a new name appears. In all this is a fun read and I can now understand why the little ones were enjoying it, indeed even adults will like the simplicity of this. On another point though it does help to teach children that they cannot go around accusing others of something that they haven't done, and in these summer holidays I'm sure most parents have had to put up with some of that. This is a short story for us adults, but will take longer for a child to read, so hopefully this will give you some peace and quiet if you get it for them.
On another issue, if you know an adult who is just learning to read for whatever reason, this may be ideal for them as well.
