5.0 out of 5 stars The Necessary PKD Bibliography 8 Jan 2013
By Umberto Rossi - Published on Amazon.com
I am the author of a monograph on Dick's fiction, published in 2011, and I wish this wonderful bibliography had been available while I was writing my book. It would have spared me a few little bibliographical mistakes, and would have helped me to better trace the publishing histories of Dick's novels. No, this is not only a book for collectors, even though I imagine that PKD collectors will find it invaluable! It's also a MUST HAVE for PKD scholars. Don't hesitate, believe an old D------d like me and also part-time D--k scholar: it's worth the money you're going to spend, and you won't regret it, not at all!
And I look forward to Henri and Dave's next enterprise, the bibliography of the translations of Dick's books!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is beyond just being a bibliography! 14 Oct 2012
By J. Young - Published on Amazon.com
I have been a collector of Philip K. Dick books for years. I have both the Daniel Levack and the Phil Stephensen-Payne/Gordon Benson Jr. bibliographies and "Precious Artifacts" by Henri Wintz and David Hyde is by far the best one you can get for English language editions.

Not only does it have about 600 full color illustrations it has a significant amount of good information regarding many of the editions that they cover.

For instance, I may have the rarest version of the hardback "Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said". I have the First Edition state, with correct date code in the book with remainder spray. They feel that it may be the rarest hardback version of that stellar novel of all the hardback versions available!

I am going to use this as my new checklist as I have been trying to collect all the first edition paperbacks in both American and British editions. With this phenomenally fantastic edition, and the specific information about all the books, I'm darn close to having a full set of both.

Now the hardback versions are a different story, sigh.

Get the hardback version of this book if still available. This may become a significant collectors item in its own right. Otherwise get any copy you can. If you appreciated Philip Dick you will more then appreciate the love, care and attention that went into this book. Thank you both.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something precious 15 Aug 2012
By Ludo - Published on Amazon.com
A little gem, a marvellous illustrated and full-detailed guide to all US and UK editions of this great writer. A new way to rediscover his works, simply wandering through all the cover arts created since 1955. And a must have for every PKD fan and collector.
