The 3 other reviews say it all really; big, well clearly embossed buttons, easy to read display, SOS and emergency functions and little torch if you want it, etc.
It has phone book, calculator, clock/alarm and can do texts and above all make calls or receive them with vibration alert if you want it on. It has various ring tones and the key pad can be silent or beep each time a key is pressed or actually speak the number. It really is a phone for phoning, without all the current gizmos of most modern mobiles, which I do not need.
The size is surprisingly compact too. It actually replaced an old Nokia 3310 which had gone wonky and kept switching off when you tried to make a call, and guess what, it is actually slightly smaller, and fits into the same case with room to spare. So it is still a nice compact size with that chunky feel where you know you're holding it.
There are many phones like this, at widely ranging prices, but, for the money, this is an absolute steal. Pity it didn't have a dedicated case available. Also I think that all the manufacturers have missed a trick here; none of them seem to feature a camera. This is one gizmo that could be really useful in something that is meant to be carried all the time, such as for recording road accidents, etc.
Getting back to this phone, a couple of slight niggles: firstly the manual could be clearer. It's all very well for me; I am technically competent at such matters and the menu is surprisingly similar to the old Nokia anyway, so I was alright, but I can imagine some people finding it difficult. Plus the manual lacks any technical info. whatsoever. It would be nice to know phone book capacity, battery type, etc. I know Amazon give this, but that is not the point. You should not have to get this info. elsewhere; it should be supplied with the phone.
Secondly, the charger; it does the job but mine was a hard wired mains to USB micro B, so you could only charge it from the mains. Why on earth did they not just give you a standard mains to USB charger and a USB Type A plug to micro B plug cable so that you could then charge it up from mains or computer. Still, I soon fixed that; bought a cheap short cable from Amazon for less than 2 quid and I can now charge it from the computer.
