Getting Ready for School Young children learn fundamental reading and counting skills through exciting games and activities designed to familiarise 3-5 year olds with the main subjects covered in school. The intelligent software automatically adjusts to the child's ability, giving pre-schoolers a practical and fun start to learning. Parents are encouraged to share these first experiences to get the most from interactive learning for their child. Each activity is accompanied by on-screen notes for parents making sure children make the most out of each game. The program contains exciting games that turn reading, counting and sorting skills into fun activities for children.
The 3 Little Pigs This captivating interactive version of the classic fairytale will soon have your child singing along and reading out-loud while they complete the fun packed activities and games designed to develop early reading and observational skills. The four story telling options enable children to progress from hearing the story narrated to reading it for themselves.

The user interface isn't great. Help is non-existant at worst, difficult to find at best. Navigation is difficult for an adult let alone a child. The activities don't appear to be entirely suited to a child of the recommended age range.
The quality of the graphics and even the sound is also disappointingly poor. In places the images start to break up. Attempts to produce 3-D graphics don't really work.
The worst of the three is the three little pigs CD which is actually frightening for a three year old in some places. The games are difficult to get to grips with with no clear help facility. There is one particular activity when you have to "Zap" the rather terrifying looking (and sounding) wolf with a lightening bolt. Another activity is set at night time and the child is required to find the big bad wolf in amongst a multitude of eerie animal eyes peering through the darkeness.
Nightmare inducing stuff and quite frankly not suitable for a three year old in my opinion.
We have decided to quietly remove this CD from our collection rather than letting our child continue to play with it.
All in all I cannot really recommend this product to parents of pre-school children.
