Clearly this is a companion to Pre-Calculus For Dummies and as such it works very well. I am a mature person wishing to re-capture the math skills I had in the past and to that end I bought Pre - Calculus for Dummies. It was useful but lacked enough examples for me to try. This book supplied them along with further explanatory text which was extremely beneficial. It does not repeat great swaiths of text from it's companion but fleshes out the subject. I think there could be a greater number of examples than there are, but this can be said of any book.
I dont think it could stand alone but as an additional source of information and examples it is first class and very good value for money.
