I bought this book to brush up some of my maths skills in preparation for embarking in retirement on a university-level course in maths. It has fulfilled my expectations. Explanations are clear and easy to follow, and the book covers quite a wide range of aspects of maths, including some that were not taught in my native Britain in my (distant) school-days. I found the introduction to new material painless. Thoroughly recommended.
