I had a recent death in the family & a friend gave me this book as
a gift. The book really helped me understand the grieving process & how exhausting it can be. It was easy to read & I especialy liked the reference to present day losses(example September 11 & Katrina). Reading the prayers gave me a feeling of calmness & acceptance. It was one of the best gifts I have received.

I received this book after the death of my husband at a very young age. It helped give me words for feelings I had never felt before. For the past 15 years, I have given this book instead of flowers when a friend loses a loved one. Everyone is as grateful as I was.
