Sad Day in Harlem 26 Mar 2009
By Isaiah Anderson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Let me start off by saying Jim Jones is nothing special on the mic. When I read in a magazine that he was going to show his lyrical side on this lp I had to lol. This album is much of the same.Funny ad-libs,sub-par lyrics and great beats. Most kids under 18 maybe 20 will like it, but as a hip hop head and grown man I can't support such garbage...Jim Jones "fallin"

Is Jim Jones the worst rapper of all time? 25 April 2009
By Enlightened - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
It seems like Jim Jones has gotten worse (instead of getting better) with each subsequent release. Don't get me wrong, Jim Jones has a few songs that I genuinely like (Summer With Miami, Ballin, Certified Gangstas and a few others) and he's also a very interesting and charismatic guy in interviews and such. But in my opinion the guy just cannot rap. I mean come on, even souljah boy showed some signs of improvement. Jim Jones' delivery is one of the most boring of all time and his flow is severely lacking. His lyrics are very uninteresting and he doesn't try to inject any energy into them at all to at least give a facade of being good.

When I was listening to the album all I could think about is when will it be over? It seemed like an eternity until I got to track 7, Precious ft. Ryan Leslie, and it just made me wish this was a Ryan Leslie song featuring Jim Jones because Ryan Leslie finally breathes some personality and life into this album. It's a few other songs that make the cut like This Is For My B's and How To Be A Boss which keep this album from being a complete waste of 48 minutes. I liked Pop Champagne until I saw the very unmanly video with a bunch of guys pouring champagne on each other and into each others mouths and sliding across the floor. The song quickly lost it's appeal and it's just not the same listening to it anymore. The 2nd single NaNaNaNa is one of the worst singles in recent hip hop memory ranking up there with Do The Ricky Bobby in having absolutely no redeeming qualities about it. Thankfully by the time you get to this song the album is over.

I feel NY is slowly starting to get their swagger back but not with Jim Jones though. While it's a few songs that are worth the time the album is largely forgettable and extremely pedestrian. This is easily his worst album and even though we know he's not a lyrical juggernaut we know he can do better than this.

Pray For a New CD 22 May 2009
By D. Hurst - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
HORRIBLE....Please do not waste your time or money getting this CD.. I must say I am very disappointed with Jim Jones on this one.. I was expecting another classic like his P.O.E.M.. I was very disappointed.. This one was for the money..... Still love Jim Jones, but this CD was both a waste of time and money, which I have little of... Jim go back to th studio and put your heart into it.....
