5.0 out of 5 stars Fantasic, 11 Sep 2007

There are some truly incredible images on this calendar - a couple of no so goods - but overall a massive improvement on last years.

My favourites so far are January Going Postal; the February dragon; June and the Amazing Maurice; July for Rincewind, Twoflower and the Luggage; August's snakes and the orange-red valley; October and the sleepwalker and November and that beautiful meteorite carriage ride.

The others are March and commander Vimes and Little Sam; for April it's the Wee Free Men; May is a Pug (from this year's release Making Money) and December is the Wintersmith and Tiffany.

I missed one, did you notice? September made me smile - all I'll say is "I ATEN'T DEAD".

Overall its a fantastic calendar, and it is more in the lines of the greatest of the Tolkien ones. Fantastic to see such care and detail, it's a marvel that I will treasure.

5.0 out of 5 stars For anyone thinking of back dating their collection..., 20 Mar 2010

As I write this review it is 2010. It never occured to me 2 years ago to write a review for this product. So I am aiming this at anyone who is planning on buying this in order to back date their Discworld collection.

Currently this calandar is rather pricey, so first off I would only recommend it to hard core fans, but I suppose no one else is likely to be considering buying a calandar that is now 2 years out of date.

What you no longer really need to know is that there is a good amount of daily space for keeping appointments but unfortunately the pin hole is rather weak, mine fell down twice throughout the year and had to be re-inforced with cello tape.

What you do need to know is that the art work is stunning, I would rank this as my favourite Discworld calandar so far. The image for March in particular is a master peice, and is still sitting waiting for me to frame it and place it on my wall. There are a couple of uninspiring months, but I've found that to be the case with every calandar so far.

So, at it's current price, this is more one for the Discworld die hards.

This item was sold out when I ordered it. I was notified straight away and chose not to wait for a copy and brought something else from the site! Excellent service as usual.
