This is the ultimate book on Indian cooking. If you are a novice and are daunted by the intricacies of Indian cuisine, then stay away. However, if you want the ultimate guide to authentic Indian cooking by the greatest chefs around, then you can't go wrong with this one! Jiggs Kalra and Manjit Singh Gill are the best in the business and most established restaurants swear by their expertise and have made a name for themselves with the recipes in this book. With recipes from the length and breadth of this vast nation, helpful annotations, and elaborate instructions, you'd be able to whip up a fancy fare with Prashad!

Excellent book for all who are interested in authentic recipes. This book contains some of the recipes not commonly available in India. With top celebrety chefs contributing the recepies and each of the recipes tested after documentation makes it the best. Most of the recipes will come out exactly as described if followed correctly. The cost of book is nothing in comparison to the value you will get out of it. Must buy for all curry lovers

I wanted an authentic indian cook book not one where the chef has 'put his own twist' on it. The quality of both the pictures, the print and the paper are poor. Trying to make sense of the recipes with all the Indian words for stirring, cooking pots, and utensils is not for the uninitiated and makes it harder to understand. It is not enjoyable to read which I like to do and often take my cookery books to bed to read as I have time, peace and quiet. Some of the pages were stuck together although it came sealed.

If you really want a book that gives you some great dimensions to an awesome curry, then this is a must have book. There are plenty of indian cookery books on the market, but a very few that have the contents & details this book has to offer.

A must have for anybody looking to master the indian cuisine !

I was rather disappointed by the first recipe I tried.
I followed the instructions for a pork vindaloo and ended up with a watery soup which was visually unappetising.
It's saving grace was the paste, but it would have tasted better if it hadn't been watered down quite so much.
Cooking a pork vindaloo for four people in approx. 1.2 litres of water seemed a bit odd to me - the result looked a bit like an Irish stew.
I'm not a great fan of boiled pork and, as your eye eats first, I wasn't grabbed by the watery-looking dish I was about to serve up.
My family rated the dish as five on a 1-10 scale.
