For £35, this is pretty good. It takes good-quality 'jpeg' pictures (at 3 or 5 or 10 MPix, or 16MPix by interpolation), has upto 4x zoom, flash powerful-enough for ordinary domestic use, a bright pin-sharp 2.7-inch screen, & is very compact & light. Video (no sound, VGA-size, to 'avi' file-type, Q[uarter]VGA also available) runs seamlessly at 30 frames-per-second. Colour-rendering seems pretty-accurate & vibrant, with auto-adjustment for lighting-type (tungsten-bulb, fluorescent, sun, cloudy, flash). In practice, after choosing the MPix level, all other settings can be left on 'auto', & the camera seems to get it right - just point & click ... but you can fine-tune it manually if you're fussy. Comes with a sturdy canvas belt-pouch/case, wrist-strap, usb data-lead (camera shows-up on the computer as a normal sd-card with the picture-files in standard folders), two alkaline AAA batteries, & a good manual-sheet. Incidentally, the wrist-strap is fiddly to thread - you push the string-loop under the little bar from the top, then keep pushing --> it should come-out the other side to enable you to loop it into itself ... but in practice it's difficult to push hard enough before it just screws-up into a ball. As to batteries, it uses two AAA's, & gobbles them up something rotten (especially for video or if flash is enabled) - so you'll need good-quality high-capacity NiMH rechargeables + charger (the camera itself has no recharging facility). By the way, you need to press & *hold-down* the on/off button to start/stop it.Read more ›

Very simple to operate and a good first camera for my Granddaughter. The price was good and the clarity of the pictures was good. She has really enjoyed it and took a million pictures including very clear pictures of the ceiling and the floor! It gave her a grown up camera at a reasonable price and should give her lots of practice before she is old enough and responsible enough for a more expensive model. This camera would suit anyone who wants a simple to operate, reliable camera at a reasonable price and the video was a welcome extra.

The price for this camera is good, and the picture quality is good enough (but not great). This was bought for my 7 year old as he likes to take pictures - so now he has his own to play with!

Also came with a case - which is better than many more expensive cameras!

Not a bad camera. Pics are of moderate standard. This was brought for my daughter and the main problem is the battery life which is very short indeed. You will need rechargeable or you will need to re mtg your house to fund the batteries for the camera.

This really is a cheap camera, but still not worth the money, thought would be good starter camera but it really isn't spend a bit more and get something that doesn't look and feel like a water pistol out of a lucky bag

We purchased this camara for our daughter to take on a school trip to Germany. She found it easy to use and it took good pictures. The only problem was with the attachment of the strap which needs to be redesigned.
