Being the first time I've bought a spotting scope, reading previous reviews of this and other scopes, this one seemed the most favourable to buy. Out of the box, and on it's first use as a scope for birding, I'd have to say I chose correctly. With easy control of zoom and focus, it's ideal, and allowed me to view birds on a local reserve better than ever before. It has also proved to be waterproof, and although not intended for star or moon gazing, looking at the moon one evening was quite astonishing with the amount of detail it managed to accomplish. It also fits onto my tripod, a Hama Star 61, bought months before it for other purposes.

The scope is well-made and lens quality appears to be very good. It was bought for birdwatching with the birds about 15m away on a bird feeder in the garden. The lowest magnification gives a splendid view of the birds at this distance. Light gathering is high because of the large objective lens, and the focusing mechanism is smooth and easy to operate. Very pleased with it. We also bought the offered tripod which seems to be exceptionally good value.

The unit is exactly as seen and described, delivered on time and packaged well.
Now I have come to use it I find the object lens would be much better to be larger but the rest of the optics are very good.Its well made and coated in rubber to protect against normal use, this feels and looks good.
You would be hard pressed to better this unit for the price.

good value for money. very good definition from 20 - 50 after that it begins to distort and it gets more difficult to focus.

Excellent for the price
Not really much to add to the title. You could pay a great deal more for little real benefit I suspect.
However be aware that it is a bit larger than you might expect!
