Bought this for hillwalking. Lighter than standard binoculars but with reasonable magnification for scouting ahead. Chose this model because it had the right balance of magnification and price - did't want something too expensive as it may get dropped/damaged out on the hills - and prices seem to jump significantly for higher magnifications. Clear lens, easy to focus, comes with case and strap. HIghly endorsed!

I was looking for a small monocular for my trips in the outdoors and to keep in the car in the "ready for adventure" bag. Ended up choosing the Praktica 12x32 as I was looking for a larger lens a bigger magnification , at a reduced price.
The product it is well done, good fit and finish, in line with the reputation of the brand (who knows where it was made though), nice pouch (slightly waterproof), has a small wrist-strap (well anchored to the body) and a cloth for cleaning the lenses. It would have been nice to have a lens-cap, or at least to understand if there was one.
Using it is quite easy, images are quite clear and sharp and is perfect to spot at a distance superior to at least 50m. It is a bit sensible to light, sometimes tricky to focus (I am not very experienced), and prone to blur if you shake too much (sometimes better to hold it with two hands). All these things I was expecting at this level of magnification. A good product, can't wait to use it 'out there'!
Hope you found this review useful.

Praktica 12x32 CN Monocular (B00382) (623827)
Well just got it and i have to say it was a lot bigger than I thought but then if you want a monocular that really does the job you cat't find it in a tiny one or size of a clipper-lighter!(See Picture I have made).
This monocular it's simple in shape and functionality but very effective, a good feature is the focus marker so that you can remember the mark of your eye-set before you look though it, a handy carry case, a crap cleaning cloth and a secure hand-strap. The glasses are good quality for what you pay for and are clear to see once focused and 12x32 it's a nice for a small monocular.
About Amazon's Price to it well I have to say Sorry Amazon you are not the cheapest anymore :( so google it and get it for £6.00 less ;)
