I've read many books on Reiki over the last ten years or so, and there are some excellent ones on the early history of the practice, some of the more advanced techniques, and the deeper aspects of its spiritual element. However, if you want a general introduction to Reiki, that doesn't cut corners, but simply and clearly covers all the essential ground and more, then this is it. Jennie is very good at looking at the world from the viewpoint of a newcomer to healing and related matters, and approaches everything in a grounded and down to earth manner. She writes from great experience and her passion is infectious. This book will be of great use to anyone in the early stages of practising Reiki, undergoing training, or just interested in the subject.
For such a little gem, this book is remarkable inexpensive. As a Reiki teacher, I have bought copies in bulk and give them to my students. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
