I got hold of this standard having gained my CAPM qualification and wanting to explore Project Risk Management in greater detail, following the same structure PMBOK communicates on Project Risk Management (PRM).
I was not suprised to see that half of the standard referred to the six Project Risk Management processes mentioned in PMBOK's Chapter 11.
1) Plan Risk Management
2) Identify Risks
3) Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis
4) Perform Quantitative Risk Analysis
5) Plan Risk Responses
6) Monitor and Control Risks
However, the other half of the standard focuses on the presentation of some very interesting examples, templates, tools and techniques regarding the six PRM processes. From the references section of the standard, it is obvious that the standard is influenced not only by PMI's PMBOK but also from British, Canadian, Australian-New Zealand and Japanese Risk Management Standards as well as from IEEE and ISO standards.
The high credibility of information and the thorough explanations presented, make this Standard a must-have, must-read on Project Risk Management.
