This book is full of very useful exercises for improving your understanding of verbs. I would like to point out that it does include vocalisation but not transiliteration. Therefore,it is not suitable for complete beginners as you do need to have an understanding of long vowels and sukoon but if you have some basic knowledge of the language, you will be able to follow the book as it is set out very clearly.

Great exercise book which has really help me to fathom the numerous verb structures. In fact, it is the only book that has really made an impact where this is concerned (and I have been through many...)

In this book the words does not appear with the signs of the vocals so the sound and pronuntiation of them if you do not know them is impossible. Very disappointing.

Great text for practicing Arabic verbs 28 Mar. 2012
By GregPhl - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I only just received this book in the mail, but it looks great! There are very few available resources for helping students learn the Arabic verb system, so this is a welcome addition. Furthermore, it appears to be clear and concise in its presentation, along with providing an abundance of exercises for the student to complete.

One can only hope that the authors and McGraw-Hill will continue to bring out Arabic workbooks in the "Practice makes Perfect" series, as has been done for other languages, such as Spanish and German.

FANTASTIC 17 Oct. 2012

This workbook was exactly what I needed. The rules are broken down into tiny, digestible pieces. Those are then followed by plenty of practice. The book gives you a lot of useful verbs (and other parts of speech)to work with that you learn through repetition. I'm currently halfway through it and have made a large leap in my understanding of Arabic verbs. And I've preordered the other three books in this series. Oh, yeah: I couldn't complain about the price, either, for such well-explained and useful study practice.

Great way to learn Arabic past tense!! 14 July 2012

I didn't think this workbook was going to be good, and when I started I started getting into it. I really like the way its set up. I think this book is awesome to learn past tenses in Arabic. It would have been nice if it came with a CD but anyways I really recommend it.

Practice Makes Perfect Arabic Verb Tenses 26 Mar. 2013
By jambi - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I purchased this book as part of the commonly bought together three pack of Practice Makes Perfect Arabic Vocabulary, Practice Makes Perfect Arabic Pronouns and Prepositions and Practice Makes Perfect Arabic Verb Tenses.

As someone who was attempting to learn the language on his own, I found these books to be helpful with providing me with the basics of the language, not to mention providing extra words, phrases and other helpful terms. Plus, getting three 190+ page books for ~$30, it was also a great bargain.
