COP 14 Nov 2010
Format:Paperback
This is essential for the course, but it is badly laid out and so many repetitive lines throughout. A book of half the pages could probably have told the same story but then anything that is a must for electricians from the IEE seems overproduced and overpriced.

You will struggle to pass the City and Guilds without it, just about every answer you need for the exam is in here.
It is poorly written, a bit clumsy and appears to have missed a final edit as some terms are confusing and much information is repeated. The index is outstandingly terrible.
Oh and it is way overpriced.
But you wont get by without it. Many of the exam questions are literally lifted from its text.
I passed with 100% using just this and "PAT: Portable Appliance Testing: In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment" by Brian Scaddon. I found the IEE Code was by far the most useful.
