About the Author
Paul Ballard was until recently Professor in the School of Religious and Theological Studies, Cardiff University. John Pritchard is Bishop of Oxford; he was previously Bishop of Jarrow. Before being Archdeacon of Canterbury he was warden of Cranmer Hall, and taught Practical Theology.

In my MA studies of Contextual Theology and also in my pastoral work as minister in Zambia i find Ballard's book excellent.It is easy to understand and insights shared can be contexualized they are not just for a specific culture or context. For all who are ministers i encourage them to read and glean the gems Ballard shares for an effective ministry;being involved in Missio Dei with a Holistic mission which is people centred bring them to Jesus Christ.Students again like me or other lay church leaders its a must have in your library because it is a rich resource.
