I purchased this book thinking it would be a practical 'how to' book for someone who has not created a pond before. I found it dull and boring and the type of ponds created I would be ashamed to have in my garden, with no artistic flair in their creation. That said, it was practical and informative if the reader wanted to create one of the ponds illustrated. I borrowed better books from friends and created a much nicer pond than any in this book.
