There are many glowing reports about PowerTraveller products. I've owned TWO in the past 4 weeks and both have been returned faulty. I bought this one because of the 9000mAh battery/solar panel option. It came charged so I used it for a few days charging a smart phone. You need an additional cable (at extra cost) if you want to charge a Samsung Tab. After the charge indicator showed 3 bars I put it on charge for the first time with the ac power adaptor provided. It is supposed to light up red when charging, this one didn't. After a 12 hour charge it still showed 3 bars!. Left it charging for a full day and still only 3 bars. This battery pack was a bit of an impulse buy, we'd just come back from a long haul flight with flat batteries in e.readers, phones and gadgets. The idea of a portable power pack that will charge all power hungry gadgets whilst away travelling is brilliant. I've since shopped around, done my homework, read the user reviews and opted for a battery pack/solar panel from PortaPow. This works, it's built to last, the price is excellent and the service second to none. There are plenty of other portable battery options on Amazon boasting up to 12000 mAh and beyond at a fraction of Powertravellers products. This battery pack was returned for a refund along with a Solar Monkey Explorer that also failed to charge.
