You'll need to start from DOS or Windows, but you can add as many different operating systems as you like once you've got the partitions set correctly.
The job of partitioning is made simple enough that it's sure to drive some computer techs out of business; with the simple point-and-click wizards and well-written online hints, those who know enough to want to partition can do it themselves. The preview feature is excellent, permitting you to examine the changes you're ordering before you make them permanent. This should eliminate the boneheaded mistakes that tired or stressed-out users inevitably make--and that are so devastating in low-level operations like these.
One important caveat: Partition Magic 5.0 won't work on every system. Since you're monkeying with some of the deepest elements of your machine, some configurations will return errors or simply not allow installation. Quite simply, this is a complete must-have. Anyone who seriously wants to manage their system needs this product. Got a big disk? Partition it now! I learned the hard way. Fatal corruption of Windows - lost everything. Now I have several partitions, operating system and program files in one, data and system image in another. If you need (or want) to reinstall Windows, fire up the DOS version and re-format, resize, whatever you need. Very stable, easy to use. No serious computer should be without it. The best!
This product is a must for anyone serious about drive management. Since purchasing Partition Magic most of my workstation disk issues have dissolved. One word of caution, NT Server requires Server Magic (a seperate product) although it handles NT Workstation OK.
