Whoever said it doesn't work, it does! It effectively charged by blackberry very quickly and turned itself off when the battery was full, so energy efficient. The only problem I have is that my blackberry case doesn't fit when the powermat back is on my phone.
Also the powermat has to be plugged in all the time to charge the phone, so you might as well just use a normal charger. I think I bought purely because of the novelty value and because it was on special offer, so was half price.
Overall, it does work, but I probably wouldn't pay full price for it.

Bought one of these from a High st shop for my BB 9300. Initial thoughts were that the concept was brilliant and that it looked very well made. Unfortunately because the receiver and plug sticks out a bit you can't use a case with it. But I was willing to ditch my case. When I got it home I installed the receiver & plug - takes less than 10secs. plugged the mat in, placed the phone on the mat. It locates magnetically and then lights up & sounds a pleasant chime when successfully docked. But then nothing happens. I had it on charge all night and it was still half empty in the morning. I took it back to the shop. We tried two others that were there and none of them worked! - RUBBISH!
Having been using this product now for a month I can say that it is very convenient and works well. Not sure it is worth the £22 price but mine was discounted to £11 so on balance at that price it is value for money. Other reviewers seem to indicate problems with positioning the phone on the mat, but I have not found this to be an issue. There is a fairly strong magnet that centres the phone and provides wireless coupling. Yes charge rate isnt particularly fast but if like me you inted having the mat on your desk and your Blackberry sitting on it most the day, then this is not a problem.
The only niggle really is the replacement phone back connects via the USB on the side of the phone, and therfore the USB cannot be easily used and you have a 5mm small plastic block sticking out from the phone which whilst relatively unobtrusive when you carry it around, it does detract from the overall satisfaction.

don't bother with this
Returned as it did not work. Good idea but I found what a lot of others had - doesn't work with the blackberry. Quick refund - before items returned. A real disappointment.
