Don't get me wrong this is a great gadget but it does have one flaw, you can't connect your existing ipod accessories to it becuase they have the ipod connector while this takes that away and leaves you a usb micro connection. So until female ipod to usb micro connectors become widely available if you want to use your old accessory you will have to remove this case (which i read isn't all that easy), and then replace it to charge again.

I was given a Powermat base charge station for Christmas, and a plug in dock for my ipod also. I searched on the web and saw an Ipod case which would make charging the ipod a completely wireless task.I knew that as my ipod is a 4th generation one with cameras front and back,that the case would need modifying.I don't think Powermat stock the 4th gen cases as yet. So I used a small modellers drill to make holes for the rear camera and also for the on/off button on top. Now,when the ipod needs charging, I just place it down on the mat and it charges straight away,no cables to plug in etc,and once it is charged just grab the ipod and I'm away.

Receiver is easily connected to the ipod touch however it's impossible to remove it once connected . Works well but with the receiver connected, it restricts the type of earphone connector that can be attached. (IPOD supplied one is fine).
