I bought this item because I was looking something more powerful than my old binoculars 8x40. Indeed the 20-60x60 prove to be much more powerful from what I expected. For instance I can spot a car from a distance of 10km and be able to clearly read its registration plate. The only disadvantage is the tripod offered. As far as I am concerned, I find it completely useless.

I bought this spotting scope for target shooting. The small tripod (combined with the angled eye-piece) works well when shooting prone rifle, and also on a table top for pistol shooting (standing). Image quality is satisfactory on minimum magnification (20x), but deteriorates at higher values. The scope is light, probably because most of the optical components are plastic rather than glass, but seems reasonably robust. It comes with a zipped fabric carrying case, but the tripod is loose. At the cheap price, this scope represents good value, but for serious bird watching I would consider something much more expensive from a quality maker.

Although I have not used this myself, I was delighted with the quality look and feel of this item. My parents (in their 80's) have found this spotting scope ideal for watching garden birds, very easy to assemble and use. They also were delighted with the quality of the scope, plus the little tripod which they use on the kitchen surface. It would be even better if the tripod could be adjustable, but for the price it is excellent.
