Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Powerball is the world's most powerful hand gyroscope, generating speeds of over 16,000 rpm! Simply by starting up the Powerball in your hand and rotating your wrist faster you can develop incredible speeds and increase your strength. Powerball is seriously addictive for all ages, making it ideal for play, exercise, or fun competitions.

Powerball is a dynamic and completely revolutionary new gyroscope that literally explodes with mind-numbing torque and inertia once you activate its internal rotor.

It's about the same size as a tennis ball and weighs just a little more, but take a Powerball in your hand, set that rotor in motion with the cord provided (or use your finger when you get used to it) and you'll experience an extraordinary sensation. Powerball slowly comes alive with gyroscopic force - a sublime yet pleasant resistance to your movement which is transmitted directly into your wrist and arms and which provides soothing, non impact rehabilitation at these lower speeds.

Bring your new Powerball up to 10,000rpm, the forces are now much stronger, much more vibrant. Higher! Take it right up to an unbelievable 15,000rpm at which point it's exerting almost 40lbs of pressure on your limbs and is travelling at nearly 250 revolutions per second. No batteries, no motor, just pure gyroscopic power

Not suitable for Children Under 14yrs

Excellent. 12 Oct 2007
Truly useful and beneficial. I've got a knackered shoulder, carpal tunnel/RSI due to years of guitars and drumming. I'm not going to make any wild claims, but I genuinely feel it's helped; whether it's down to this thing or not, my wrist is definitely less painful and more flexible. Certainly not done any harm.

Also a great 'pub toy'! The 1-star reviews aren't deserved. I've bought 5 now for presents (believe it or not), and all recipients have been intrigued to the point of annoyance. The hills are alive with the sound of whirring. Mind you, when you're winding up for a speed attempt, it does look like you're going for a personal 'one-armed power session'.

More than happy with product and service. Great fun!

I was looking for some way to exercise while sitting in the office all day and decided to buy this little gem after reading the reviews below. It's a bit tricky when you start but you quickly get the 'feel' for it and when you do its great fun!!! Really works the arms and hand muscles which will hopefully improve my tennis game.

As the other reviewers mention, the magic readout is tricky to see BUT here is the answer!!

TIP: connect the wrist strap (included in the box) and when you finish 'spinning' let the powerball dangle freely from the cord on your wrist. Your score will now be really easy to see on the rotor!! Enjoy!

Great Gadget! 10 Jan 2008
I am a fencer, and often suffer from tennis elbow in my sword (right) arm. I had been looking for a way to ease it, and when I saw that Powerballs can be used for this, decided to buy one. I went for the Techno, as it looked quite fun, and I must say that these things really are addictive! With regard to the score being difficult to read on this model, this is true, but with practice you get better at steadying the rotor, and I look at this as being part of the challenge. I would certainly recommend one of these to anyone looking to use it at low speeds for rehabilitation, as it certainly has helped my tennis elbow. One word of caution though: If, like me, you have small hands, you may find you blister your fingers, with excessive use at higher speeds - I took the skin off the side of my little finger on the first day! Don't let that put you off though, these things are great.

This provided a real workout in a short amount of time. There were no instructions for the functions and it would have been better if the function indicator lit up.
