This really is a cracking piece of kit to take on holiday or use in your bathroom as I do. Terrific bass and no distortion at full volume. Battery life is a lot longer than 10 hours and if you buy rechargeable batteries, then the running cost is just about zero. Alternatively, you could use the mains supply.

Verified Purchase
I bought this speaker in September after hearing all the great reviews on the sound quality. The performance was pretty good for the price - although not as loud as I would have preferred to play music. After only 3 months one speaker has stopped working and the sound is now mono and very faint making it more or less useless. I have tried contacting Avante Garde who are the supplier by e-mail but have not had a reply. There is no contact number or any servicing info on the manufacturer with the speaker when it arrives. Looks like i'm going to have to send lengthy e-mails to Amazon for some sort of compensation now.

Basically, im annoyed with fake reviews. i.e the other review of this product which is on many websites across the internet so no one really knows what they were actually like. So i took the gamble and bought these speakers. First impressions were they were smalled than i thought they would be easily fitting in my palm by width. i thought the sound wouldnt be very impressive so i turned it on and was met by a rich and surprisingly loud reception which was amazing for its size. when i say for its size i dont mean it is small like the actual speaker system as that wouod be misleading. The speakers are prefect and the sound quality is really very good. The volume can reach quite high and it looks really very good. I loved it because it can adapt to anything just simply plugging into anything with an earphone socket with a simple wire. The shiny reflective discs bounce and vibrate with the mysic and you can feel it. Also blast of air come from the sides this is really good as it prevents distortion in bass and it shows it is very well made. The overall design is small and compact and really sleek looking. Overall i would recommend this speaker to anyone as it is loud and very good quality of sound and also it looks good and is adaptable. I would just like to elaborate the fact that i have no financial ensentive to make this review like others but i just wanted to give an honest opinion so no one gets stuck in the same problem i was in with the same review on every website. :-)

Just picked this up the other day and was well impressed!

There's no distortion when I used it with my Creative Zen, there was a bit when I used it with my Pc though. The sound quality is supurb, you can really here everything. It's got a good volume as well for a travel speaker. Perfect for a holiday!

I was searching for a replacement for my old sony travel speakers and came across these. having read the customer reviews I ordered some. They are excellent for the money and sound quality is far superior to my previous sony system. (which I paid 60 quid for!). my advice is save your money and go for it.

very very good quality speakers. sound clarity is excellent and is a bargain for the price. this is the second travel speaker i have bought for my ipod as i initially went for a cheaper option of the Macally Pod Wave (still £25) which was a total waste of time. the volume on this is very impressive and even tunes with a good amount of bass are well received by this powerful mini system. this is the perfect travel companion.if you buy this you wont be disappointed!!

These speakers exceeded all my expectations!

Instead of looking for a well known make I decided to be sensible and go for the great reviews on Amazon - needless to say, I was not let down.

These tiny little things have tremendous volume and clarity that I've not heard in anything of it's size before. I'm no technology wizz but I can tell that these brilliant little things are just the best you will get for their tiny size AND tiny price.

I actually have to turn them down when my parents are in the house as I play them in my room and they can hear it from downstairs. They're that good. I can't speak highly enough of them.

They do take 4AA batteries which can be annoying but they are portable after all. Normal batteries last longer than rechargable ones but I find if I just recharge my batteries every 4 days or so when I'm sleeping all is fine. I even take it in the bathroom (not really advisable!) because I like a bit of a sing-along in the bath and the condensation still hasn't killed it! lol!

I dont really have much to add from what anyone else has put.

However one or two points are that they DO need a better travel case, the current one is not going to protet your investment. Also the batteries really need to be better i would recomend investing a little more to get HIGH QUALITY rechargeable batteries, its seriously makes the diffrence.

These are amazing speakers, yes the sound does distort but only with certain music and you still get very loud crystal sound!

Amazing bit of kit and would recomend to any music loving traveling person.
