I needed to light the side of a barn, where we have no mains power. Installed just over a month ago, and so far has proved to be a very bright light. So light that the chickens in pens below, wake up and come out as they think it is daylight. This is the first time I've been tempted to write a review, as I have been very impressed by it's design and simple install. Wouldn't replace a 1000watt mains floodlight, but for solar powered seems to be very capable.
I do have the solar panel facing due south, and it is completely unobstructed. The real test will be as we get in to sub zero temperatures for prolonged periods, but if this proves to be too much for the battery will update my review. The only downside I have found is the fiddle of going back and forth up the ladder to set the sensitivity etc, but presume this would be a problem on any light of this type.
