Amazon.co.uk Review

With Louise having shuffled off to a solo career of monumental irrelevance, the three remaining members of Eternal--Kèllè Bryan and sisters Easther and Vernie Bennett--regrouped and soldiered on, enlisting the same producers, Ronnie Wilson & Dennis Charles, who'd worked with them on their multi-platinum debut Always & Forever, in an attempt to recapture a little of that album's success. By and large, it worked--though, despite the presence of American influences (gospel legend BeBe Winans, R&B maestro Dallas Austin), they sounded, as ever, like nothing so much as a tamer, more distinctly British riposte to the likes of En Vogue. Still, that's not to deny the slick allure of "Who Are You" and the title track, or the unexpected gravity of their remake of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song". More of the same, perhaps--but that was probably the point. --Andrew McGuire

Power Of Eternal 6 Mar 2005
Format:Audio CD
This was the first album I bought but I still listen to it ten years on. There is so many good tracks on this album from the three brilliant ballads It Will Never End, The single I Am Blessed and the great cover of Bob Marley's Redemption Song to the uptempo Power Of A Woman and Hurry Up. What I like about Eternal is that every album they released were completely different from their debut Always & Forever to Eternal their fourth album. Still well worth buying all this time on!

A beauty 11 May 2003
Format:Audio CD
This album showcases the purity and strength of the girls’ voices, every song being beautifully performed. Eternal’s voices work best on ballads, though, so the stand-out track seem to be the slower ones, like “I am blessed” and “It will never end”. Similarly, this means that faster, more poppy tracks such as title track “Power of a woman” don’t quite match the musical greatness of the powerful ballads. With the ever growing popularity of R’n’B music, it is easy to forget bands such as Eternal, who were one of the most successful groups with their unique mix of soul, R’n’B and pop. Definitely worth a listen, although if you want something poppier and slightly more slick, Destinys Child or TLC will probably be more to your taste. But for a more mature sound, Eternal’s “Power of a woman” is the best choice.

nothing to match 3 Jun 2000
Format:Audio CD
move out the way bob marley let the eternal girls take over. With a mutil platnum album out the way - this album was designed to catch the heart not the teenie boppers. the magics is there and the serious "power of a woman" title track hit the charts with a massive image of girl power. The first time we see any skin of these girls gives us the impression that they wanted to show us that they are sexy but they don't reveal anything that could mean that they uncredible. Good work girls a fantastic album
