When the Power Rangers call for back up they don't go summoning any old Zord - they call on the combined powers of all five! Just like in the Power Rangers Samurai TV series , this cool group of animal Zords combine to create a fierce fighting machine. Play with the lion, dragon, bear, ape and turtle figures separately or snap them together to bring the mighty Megazord to life. This awesome action figure is suitable for ages four and up and is a must-have for collectors and young fans alike. I got this for my 6 year old son's birthday and he LOVES it.
Compared to other Megazords that we have bought, I was a little bit disappointed as the price was the same as those that have battery operations and this one does not. However, the build quality is excellent and this is a very robust toy.
The Samurai vehicle zords can also connect to this to make it even bigger, so bring on Christmas. :-)

This Megazord was chosen by my eight year old son for his four year old brother's birthday. To be honest, I thought it was pretty over-priced initially (and still think it's a lot of money for what you actually get!)
That said, the toy is actually a 'transformer' style product which starts out as a large robotic figure complete with a rather flimsy little sword. My boys' favourite aspect is that the zord comes apart to recreate several other little figures. The legs, arms and head all detach and turn into animals such as a bear, turtle and a monkey. The unfolding can be a little tricky for a four year old's fingers as some of the fold out sections are a little fiddly, but I think the age recommendation of four years plus is fairly accurate.
Some of the figures are less recognisable than others as the animals they are supposed to be but they allow more than one child play together and recreate some of the scenes from the latest Power Rangers series. I suspect this works best with children with siblings willing to play together, otherwise the appeal of the toy could be quite limited once the novelty of attaching and dismantling the different elements wears off.
To its credit, the toy feels fairly substantial and is very durable (aside from the sword.) None of the main parts feel like they are likely to break easily which is fortunate as my boys can be extremely heavy handed. I would imagine that this will be in suitable condition to hand down to younger children or sell on afterwards.

My son plays with this every single day since the day he got it!
3 toy boxes downstairs full of toys. Yet the only action they get is a feather duster over them to keep the spiders away from the lack of use.
He loves this toy to pieces (literally) and it is definitely value for money even though it is priced at £30.
Easy to assemble and take part and also works as 5 other toys.
However... there is too many other power rangers toys which can connect to this and my son loves going on youtube watching power ranger videos and all of a sudden, he just wants another toy so he can connect it to this.
GOOD SIDES

Hours upon hours of playtime
Taking away the toy as a punishment and it actually DOES affect your child when no other punishment will
BAD SIDES
Loose a piece and it is impossible to replace it without splashing out £30 again
All the other toys that can connect to it... beetle zord, tiger zord, swordfish zord, red bike, blue bike (all £14 each) and the Claw Zord (which morphs into the mega zords armour) at £30 meaning the whole collection (including megazord itself) will cost you around £130!
