Being a Stephen Dorff fan, I came across this during my searching and instanly bought to learn more of his talent. It's a powerful moving story based on a book by Bryce Courtenay about P.K (Dorff) who goes through many tragdies in his life but has two father figures during growing up and learns to be a boxer. The sights and sounds of Africa are amazing, some of them jaw-dropping and the music is haunting it will make you shiver. The brilliant pefomance from Stephen Dorff is awesome, not being biased but I thought it was his best yet showing his not just charsmia but being a believeable character. Morgan Freeman is also brilliant, being one of the father figures, he does well for his role. I couldn't forget this but if you watch closely, you can spot a young Daniel Craig in a very evil role. Romance, tradgey, rascim, cruel punishments, this film has it all and it can be very grim to watch. I didn't find the ending very uplifting at all, yeah it may seem happy but I was left very shocked of what I saw during two hours. Worth seeing if you are Stephen Dorff fan like me or you loved the book.
