Product Description

Harness the energies of Love and discover fire anew - "Dr. June Singer's work is known for her authentic insights into the depths of the psyche. She is one of the true mothers of analytical psychology" - Clarissa Pinkola Estos, Ph.D. Jungian psychoanalyst and author of Women Who Run With the Wolves - From the author of Blake, Jung and the Collective Unconscious, Androgyny and Modern Woman in Search of Soul - "What does it mean to tend the fire? It means committing ourselves to the life-task of harnessing the energies of the physical world..." - author June Singer - Teaches the value of inner harmony and examines in depth the power of love ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In The Power of Love, June Singer teaches us to harness love's energies. Singer shows that the invisible fire remains with us as essence. It has colour, heat, but no real substance, yet it has the capacity to transmute substances. This fire burns in our loins and in our hearts. We can exclude it from our consciousness, or we can tend it and be warmed by it all through our lives. In this penetrating book, we learn that transpersonal sexuality can be experienced only when we are sure of our own sexual identity.

This we will learn only when harness the power of love

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding & wholly readable 2 Feb 2014

The cover art [on the paperback edition] does little justice to this deep, beautifully written book. Singer is both an exceptional psychotherapist, and observer-historian of social change. Lots to learn here, from a Jungian-Transpersonal analyst who never ceased to explore, and convincingly join up the dots on all kinds of important issues. With the essential one of Love at the center of the work, of course.

Singer provides inspiration that deepens the themes in Rollo May's Love and Will. As a Jungian I appreciate Singer's symbolism and interpretations.
