This is a great book for a wide range of sports people. there are loads of delicious nutritional recipes for drinks. Most of them are juice-based or smoothies based on fruit or vegetable juices with some chocolate ones too. Each recipe has clear directions and also the protein, fat, carbohydrate and calorie nutritional breakdown.

The book is clear, well presented and also has an introduction briefly covering nutritional requirements for sports people. Both authors are State Registered Dietitians in the UK and experts in their field. there is also a chart suggesting which drink for which sport/activity.

In short - an excellant addition to the library of any keen sports person!

I love juicing and I love to use juice as a treat in my Diabetic regime. Having had diabetes for twenty seven years, I know enough to work out my intake of carbohydrates, but with juicing it's a bit hit and miss sometimes as to whether or not a juice is suitable for exercise or just drinking for the sheer joy of it. Not with this book, I took ages looking for a juice book with the carbohydrate content shown and to no avail, until after a determined search I found this one! It has an excellent format arranged systematically for the logically inclined and above all the recipes are gorg! A must have book for healthy diabetics everywhere!!!

Always thought that juicing was time consuming and difficult? Well so did I until I read Power Juices! An easy to read and comprehensive guide to juices and smoothies for sport and exercise. Stunning recipes which are coded so that you can choose the best juice or smoothie for you, whatever sport you do. An excellent addition to your bookshelf.
